Zeiss Medical Technology announced that China’s National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) has approved the Zeiss Artevo 750 and Zeiss Artevo 850 ophthalmic surgical microscopes, expanding access to advanced visualization platforms for ophthalmic procedures in China.
The Artevo 750 and 850 systems provide combined optical and digital visualization designed for both anterior and posterior segment surgery. According to Zeiss, the systems incorporate hardware and software upgrades intended to support surgical workflow integration, including compatibility with the company’s cataract surgery and vitreoretinal surgery platforms. The microscopes feature enhanced image resolution and RGB illumination, technologies aimed at improving tissue visualization during surgical procedures.
